Tutorial: Create a New Look Using Chalk Paint on Your Picture Frames

September 10, 2016

Have an old picture frame hanging around?  Want to create a new look for it?  Need a large frame but don't want to spend hundreds on one?  This is the tutorial for you!  In my new studio space, I knew I needed a lot of frames and even some very large frames that would have cost me hundreds to buy.  I didn't have oodles of money to spend so I had to get creative.  My friend Drew from Drew Danielle Design, gave me the idea to pick up some large frames or pictures with frames from Goodwill or Salvation Army and then just refinish them.  So that's what I did.  I was able to pick up huge frames for $3, $4, $5, and $6 thanks to this tip and refinished them using chalk paint for way less than it would have cost to buy these.  In the tutorial below, you can see how I did this.  Happy crafting!
